|
General
basic straight and satin stitch by hand, advanced technical stitches such as
French knot and fabric manipulation. Stitch with mixed media.

all the available stitches on a domestic lockstitch sewing machine with the
full range of machine feet and colour combinations.

and bulk dye

Exploring
the properties and process of hand felting with wool tops, and using acid and
direct dyes on various natural and manmade materials. History and process of
indigo dye.

Career objectives
|
After
specialising in digital print in my current studies I look to continue expanding
my technical skills into screen print and gain experience of working in
industry to forward my career to work successfully in a design team for a
luxury designer label such as Alexander McQueen.

My
current studies focus on digital print for fashion accessories, mostly for
scarf designs however they can be interpreated to be adapted to stationary
collections, fashion accessories or soft furnishing designs. I take
inspiration from natural forms and manipulate drawing with different media in
Photoshop to create my designs.

voluntary role included invigilating
all Bluecoat gallery spaces and leading an efficient and dedicated team to
ensure the safety of all visitors and artwork.
I
assisted the hairdressers and provided efficient customer service to the
clients such as refreshments. I learnt how to deal with customer complaints,
and telephone bookings in a fast paced environment during this work
experience employment.
