Digital print
Using my designs and printing them onto a satin silk mix fabric.

Hand stitch processes
General basic straight and satin stitch by hand, advanced technical stitches such as French knot and fabric manipulation. Stitch with mixed media.
Machine embroidery
Utilizing all the available stitches on a domestic lockstitch sewing machine with the full range of machine feet and colour combinations.
Felting and bulk dye
Exploring the properties and process of hand felting with wool tops, and using acid and direct dyes on various natural and manmade materials. History and process of indigo dye.

Career objectives
After specialising in digital print in my current studies I look to continue expanding my technical skills into screen print and gain experience of working in industry to forward my career to work successfully in a design team for a luxury designer label such as Alexander McQueen.

My current studies focus on digital print for fashion accessories, mostly for scarf designs however they can be interpreated to be adapted to stationary collections, fashion accessories or soft furnishing designs. I take inspiration from natural forms and manipulate drawing with different media in Photoshop to create my designs.

This voluntary role included invigilating all Bluecoat gallery spaces and leading an efficient and dedicated team to ensure the safety of all visitors and artwork.




I assisted the hairdressers and provided efficient customer service to the clients such as refreshments. I learnt how to deal with customer complaints, and telephone bookings in a fast paced environment during this work experience employment.

Additional skills
IT / CAD / software
Competent in using general Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word Document, but also experienced in using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for creating designs. CAD/CAM skills on small domestic machines such as the Janome Memory Craft Embroidery machines.
Fashion / textiles
Practiced in general and traditional hand embroidery for example fabric manipulation skills and stitch with mixed media. Familiar with using a lockstitch sewing machine and it’s range of stitches such as pin tuck and satin stitch to name some. Previous pattern cuttings skills with readymade patterns and block pattern manipulation.

Photography, drawing to articulate my ideas and drawing with a range of media such as oil bar and watercolours, visual presentation of my work through presentations and exhibitions. Contextualising in Practice is a part of my course where I have recently analysed the impact of Freud’s theory of uncanny in art practice and why art practice has changed after the first world war.

During a unit in my course in first year it involved group work on a project to produce a successful exhibition of our own work in a disused space.

During my spare time I have a passion for exploring new skills in photography, video which gets documented in my personal blog.
Rather than buy them straight off the shelf I enjoy creating my own and recently experimented with silver clay.
