Minori's Concept:

"I am doing creative activity as a fairy writer.
All one.
When I die, I die.
When I live I live.
I go back to one while flowing.
I'm kind of thinking.
I was brought up in nature since it was small. I tend to forget beauty of nature, gentleness, but one flower has a story, and there is way of life and I express that there is a heart and want to grow.
I make nature and collaboration impudently. It is thanks.
So that there can be even some minori in minori.
So that there can be you in you."

Graphic and colorful work of Danish multi-disciplinary arts and design studio Hvass & Hannibal. Since 2006, its founders, Nan Na Hvass & Sofie Hannibal have worked in close collaborative partnership with illustrative and conceptual design in a number of different fields for numerous clients in Europe, Asia and the US. Whether in the digital realm or on a three-dimensional scale, the studio takes projects from esoteric illustrative beginnings to a full art direction and graphic design solution, all in-house. As well as being image makers they have also directed high profile photographic projects, and created sets and costumes for amongst others, one of Denmark’s famous musical successes of recent years.

 Claire Heminsley
http://www.incahoots.org.uk/textiles/textiles.html

Her distinctive work has an illustrative quality with its inspiration rooted in the everyday. She graduated from Glasgow School of Art having specialised in Textiles. Since then she has worked freelance trading as Incahoots.
Rather than being material or technique specific, she utilises an inventive broad approach to the drawn mark. Drawing is the integral component, whether made through traditional drawing materials, wire, scraper board or the use of stitch and fabric.
Funding from the Scottish Arts Council has enabled Claire to develop her practice integrating traditional and new technologies. Particularly the use of digital print alongside screen-print and stitch, working in an increased scale in 2 and 3 dimensions suitable for different environments.
Claire is influenced by many things including; the connections and stories within our everyday~ 'the extraordinary in the ordinary'; the clients brief; the world around her.

Workshop 4 - Print for Fabric

RGB, CMYK and LAB.

I decided to try repeat brick pattern again but with a more complicated composition and incorporating wallpaper colour trends for 2013.
I decided to revert back to creating single illustrations and blocks of patterns with the transform tool as I don't think I was as successful with repeat patterns.

I will work on this design concept by adding relevant colours from my colour palette selected from dyed cells.
